For Sample Submitter

It is highly recommended that you establish communications with specialists before submitting a sample. If this is the first time you plan to send a DDIS sample to a specialist, you should contact the specialist first to make sure he/she will accept your sample. A list of registered DDIS specialists can be found at DDIS Website.

If the specialist is not a registered DDIS user, please ask the specialist to register on the DDIS Website or contact the Help Desk at IFAS Information Technology for assistance.

It is important to submit your sample through DDIS instead of sending it as an email attachment. The online submission form provides necessary information for specialists to make diagnosis. The archived DDIS samples are a valuable resource for problem identification and education. You will get credit for your diagnostic accomplishments through the Faculty Achievement System.

Each of us receives a number of emails daily. There is a chance that a specialist may miss the DDIS email notification. If you don't receive the specialist's diagnosis in a few days, please contact your specialists.

You may want to send a sample to one of the diagnostic labs at UF or to a specialist at UF/IFAS. You can find a list of IFAS diagnostic labs on the DDIS Website.

Each diagnostic lab has a dedicated email address specifically for DDIS. You may submit your samples to one of the diagnostic labs. Of course, you can send a sample to both a diagnostic lab and to a specialist if necessary.

If you have questions on how to prepare DDIS samples, please read the DDIS How To and Help on the DDIS Website. If you need technical assistance, please contact the IFAS-IT Help Desk at (352) 392-INFO (4636).
