Try the New DDIS
This web-based DDIS is third major release to meet users' requirements and adopt new technologies. The new system has been completely redesigned with new features, enhancements, new user interface, and new technologies. Below are a few highlights of the new DDIS.
- Role-based user system
- New User interface and personalized sample management
- Improved sample submission process. The new sample submission process is separated into three steps to avoid losing form data in case of failure of image upload. Also, upload file size has been extended.
- Extended users for a) sample viewer, b) sample submission from extension clientele to county extension agents, c) sample submission from customers of IFAS diagnostic labs/clinics to their labs/clinics, and d) lab diagnosticians, department specialists, and internal/external specialists.
- Map-based sample distribution display for a) sample number submitted by county and b) pest distribution by county.
- Simplified one click SPDN/NPDN submission
- Sample referral to an external expert or other DDIS specialists
- Enhanced diagnosis form allowing a) multiple diagnoses, b) saving and retrieving previous diagnosis, c) auto-complete pest and host name data entry, d) invasive species identification, and e) standard NPDN pest code
- User sample management to change a sample from Pubic to Private or vice versa
- Allowed sample submitter to grant sample permission to other users
- Updated sample submission forms
- Enhanced system security
- Enhanced image viewer

- Enhanced sample alert function
- Lab/clinic sample management (limited function now)
- UFID is included for UF users
